Tiago is 5 years old. He suddenly realizes, for the first time ever, that he is the only one on this planet who can actually see things. He is the only one who can actually act on the world. He is the only one with free will. He concludes, through logic, that if he cannot imagine what it's like to be as others are, then they cannot be as he is. There is a categorical difference between him and others. In a fit of inspiration, he runs downstairs and finds his mom and big brother in the kitchen and begins to mock them, "Ha! Ha! I can see! You can't!" They look at him, confused, and go back to their conversation. Tiago, satisfied with his message, walks back upstairs.
Tiago is 8 years old, and things seem to be a little too coincidental. He doesn't truly believe in God, but he can't deny that the world seems to work a little too well in his favor. He sits down with his family one night and they together watch "The Truman Show." It's obvious! Tiago is on his own version of "The Truman Show." He is a star. But no one will tell him—that isn't allowed. So, he must find another way to find out the truth.
